Seal Sands

Standing in the shadows of Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station is Seal Sands and the Teesmouth Field Centre. Local organisations have come together to protect and enhance the marshes, tidal flats and dunes here on the north shore of the Tees estuary. The area is protected as a Nature Reserve and popular with people who come to view its large Common and Grey seal population and thousands of migratory birds.
