Pow Hill Country ParkSet in moorland overlooking the Derwent Reservoir, Pow Hill lies on the south shore and has great views of the lake. Conserved for its special wildlife interest, this valley bog habitat is home to goldcrests, coal tits, roe deer and red squirrels. The western end of the lake is protected as a nature reserve. In winter large flocks of migrant waders and wildfowl gather here. The Park is open for visits throughout the year. |
