Kirkpatrick Fleming

This pleasant little village is visited mainly to see Robert the Bruce’s Cave, where the great man is supposed to have seen the industrious spider, though similar claims are made for other caves in both Scotland and Ireland. Sir William Irving hid Robert the Bruce here for three months while he was being hunted by the English.
