Hope Cove

There are two Hopes here: Outer Hope, which is more modern and so gets less attention, and Inner Hope, which must be one of the most photographed villages in the country. A picturesque huddle of thatched cottages around a tiny cobbled square, Inner Hope once thrived on pilchard fishing, but nowadays only a few fishermen still operate from here, bringing in small catches of lobster and crab.
