Clawton

A good indication of the mildness of the Devon climate is the number of vineyards that have been established over the past 30 years or so. Clawford Vineyard in the valley of the River Claw is a good example. Se in more than 78 acres of vines and orchards, the vineyard’s owners welcome visitors to sample their home-grown wines and ciders, and in the autumn to watch that year’s vintage being produced.
