Bere FerrersThe church in Bere Ferrers has the oldest Stained-glass window in Devon - excepting Exeter Cathedral - it is 600 years old. Whilst attempting to make a tracing of the window, the antiquarian draughtsman Charles Alfred Stothard fell and was killed.At the nearby Bere Ferrers railway station the Tamar Belle vintage train comprises four carriages restored and converted to provide a dining coach, saloon/lounge and two uniquely arranged sleeping cars. |
