EdnastonThis is a small ancient manor and was recorded, in the Domesday Book of 1086, as being in the ownership of Henry de Ferrers of Duffield Castle. The present manor house, Ednaston Manor on Brailsford Brook, was built in a Queen Anne style by Sir Edwin Lutyens between 1912 and 1914. It is a Grade I listed building, and although the house, grounds and plant nursery used to be open to the public, now it is a private house and access is not permitted. |
