Tirril

Like its neighbour, Yanwath, Tirril has connections with the Quaker Movement. At Tirril there is an old Quaker Meeting House (now in private ownership), while Yanwath Hall, reputed to be the finest manorial hall in England, was the birthplace of the Quaker Thomas Wilkinson. Modern Yanwath also boasts an interesting gallery, located in a cottage garden setting.
