Portwrinkle

This small seaside village on Whitsand Bay developed around its medieval harbour and once had a thriving fishing industry. Portwrinkle has two sand-and-shingle beaches with rock pools. If you walk east out of the village towards Crafthole, a signpost points you towards Tregantle Fort, built between 1858 and 1868 as part of the Plymouth defences.
