Bourne EndA prosperous commuter town on the banks of the Thames, Bourne End began to expand in the late 19th century as the Victorians developed a passion for boating on the river.It was once the home of the writer Edgar Wallace, who died in Hollywood during work on the screenplay for King Kong. He is buried in the village cemetery at nearby Little Marlow. |
