Foulden

The main attraction here is the old two-storey Tithe Barn (Historic Scotland), dating from medieval times, though it was restored in the 18th and 19th centuries. “Tithe” means a tenth, and each farmer in the parish was supposed to donate a tenth of his crops to the church. It was in the barn that it was stored. The barn can only be viewed from the outside.
