SandhurstThe town is famous as being the home of the Royal Military Academy, the training place for army officers since it was established in 1907. The academy’s Staff College Museum tells the history of officer training from its inception to the present day. Close by is Trilakes, a picturesque country park set in 18 acres with, of course, some lakes. This is a wonderful place to visit with children as there are a wide assortment of pets and farm animals that they can get to know, including miniature horses, pygmy goats, donkeys, aviary birds, pot-bellied pigs and Soay sheep. |
