Finchampstead

To the east of the village are Finchampstead Ridges, a popular spot for walkers that offers wonderful views across the Blackwater Valley. Simon’s Wood has a varied mixture of conifers and broad-leaved trees, and in the wood and on the heath are siskin and flycatchers, dragonflies, damselflies and a wide range of invertebrates and lichens.
