LlisfaenThe Parish Church of St Cynfran was supposedly founded in AD777 by the saint of the same name. The present church has been heavily restored, though parts date from the 14th century, with incorporated masonry from an even earlier building. Cynfran himself is a shadowy figure, said to be the son of King Brychan of Brecknock, himself a saint. There is a holy well to the north of the church. |
