DulasA one thriving village, Dulas was, in the early 19th century, home to both a brickworks and a shipbuilding industry. Standing at the head of the Dulas River, that runs into the bay, the village overlooks Ynys Dulas, a small island, which lies a mile or so offshore and is the haunt of grey seals. On the island is a 19th century tower built as a beacon and a refuge for sailors; a former lady of Llysdulas manor house hadfood left there for stranded mariners. |
