For over 300 years this was the Lister's family home, but Shibden Hall itself is even older, built in 1420. Generations have lived and worked here and today the hall reflects this continual development. The rooms, ranging from the 17th century to the 20th century, are set out as if someone has just slipped out for a moment. There is the 17th century barn with its display of carriages and the Folk Museum that shows how craftsmen worked in the 19th century.
