Aberglasney is one of the country's most exciting garden restoration projects, and the gardens are well on the way to becoming one of the leading garden attractions in the UK. The recovery and restoration are taking place under the aegis of the Aberglasney Restoration Trust, set up in 1995, and the nine acres contain six different garden spaces including three walled gardens. At the heart is a unique, fully-restored Elizabethan/Jacobean cloister and parapet walk giving wonderful views over the site. The gardens have already won many awards from the Wales Tourist Board and other prestigious bodies. There's a café in the gardens.

As well as the magnificent gardens, the house is also undergoing restoration. Its history dates back over many centuries and, through scant recorded deatils, is thought to have been originally owned by the Lords of Llangathen, before passing into Tudor hands.
