At the heart of the pleasant village of Kirkinner stands an impressive Victorian building that hosts the warm and welcoming Kirkinner Inn. The colourful window boxes and hanging baskets adorn the exterior and create the feeling that this inn is well looked after. Owners Alex and Jane have been the proprietors for four years now and the reputation of the Kirkinner Inn has certainly improved in that time. Alex is a keen fisherman and a fly-fishing instructor whilst Jane enjoys walking, reading and collecting whiskies.Frequented by locals and tourists alike, the Kirkinner Inn provides sumptuous food on a daily basis, the excellent chefs producing delicious fresh meals from a well thought out, extensive menu. Using only the finest of locally sourced ingredients, the chefs have created a menu that manages to cater for every taste. The kitchens will also produce breakfasts by appointment and have a popular takeaway service. The good sized restaurant has space for 30 covers and the well stocked bar boasts a large TV for those special events and a pool table. Open all year round from 12 till 12, the Kirkinner welcomes dogs and children on family days out. |
