Located at the southern end of Oban, this family-run guest house offers the very best in hospitality and comfort. There is double, twin and family accommodation (all on the ground floor), with all rooms finished to an extremely high standard. Tastefully decorated, they all have colour televisions, mini fridges, electronic safes among other things. Visitors can be sure to find a traditional full Scottish breakfast on the morning menu and can enjoy it in the dining room, which like the lounge, overlooks the front garden.

Owners, Ishbell and Jamie also offer two self catering flats, which are located 100 yards from can also, Sgeir Mhaol and have two bedrooms, toilet, sitting room and kitchen. There is a garden to the front and to the rear of the building and parking for three cars.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, with many visitors taking walks and soaking up the natural beauty of the place. Pronounced `Sgeir Vole', the name of the guest house means `A Bare Rock', in Gaelic and is derived from that of a lighthouse with a family connection off the Isle of Jura. It is open all year round and has a spacious private car park within the grounds.
