With unbeatable views across the surrounding woodland, Pepper House is nestled in a beautiful valley, providing an ideal getaway for someone wanting a peaceful and relaxing break.

In an elevated position, overlooking the quiet village of Satterthwaite, the charming, traditional farmhouse boasts fantastic views over Grizedale Forest Park and is close to Windermere to the east and Consiton to the west. Named after William Pepper, who farmed there in the early 1600s, the building is full of character with big oak beams and thick stone walls. Paul and Fran Townsend are the friendly owners of the 16th century Yeoman's Farmhouse and, being keen Lakeland enthusiasts, are happy to suggest walks or places to visit.

Located off the beaten track, but in easy reach of the more famous fells, the guest house boasts three tastefully decorated en-suite rooms. There are two comfortable lounges and a large dining room, which overlooks the valley, where generous home-cooked meals and breakfasts, made from local produce, can be enjoyed.

The gardens offer delightful seating areas, and walkers and bird watchers will be in their element with miles of bridleways and footpaths criss-crossing the area - perfect for exploring the Lake District, whether on foot, cycling or riding.
