Broughton-in-Furness is a very attractive little town and standing proudly in the heart is the wonderful inn, The Black Cock Inn provides great food, drink and accommodation. In the spring and summer, window boxes and hanging baskets add splashes of colour to the immaculate black and white frontage and add to the history and charm of the place. The interior only enhances the property, the lounge bar hosts a roaring log fire and the low beamed ceiling provides a traditional atmosphere.

The bar is open all day, every day, for drinks, which includes a selection of five real ales; Theakston's Best and Marston's Pedigree are the regulars. That choice increases to around 15 during the inn's annual Beer Festival, which usually takes place during the first week of November. The inn also boasts a lovely secluded beer garden, and during the summer months, tables and chairs are set up at the front.

Food is served daily and the mouthwatering menu combines classic pub fare with some more exotic options. The Black Cock Inn is a great place to stay whilst exploring the Furness and Cartmel Peninsulas and the five en suite rooms include a family suite.
