The Dock Museum is one of the leading attractions in the North of England, and visitors to this superb modern museum can take a break in The Bridge Café.

Val Morley, who has managed the coffee shop since 2003, provides a tempting variety of home baking, snacks and made-to-order hot dishes. There are seats for 50 inside, and 24 more at picnic tables outside on the terrace.

The Museum and the Coffee Shop are open from 10 to 4.30 in season (closed Monday) and from 10.30 to 3.30 out of season (closed Monday and Tuesday). Admission to the Museum is free.
