The Crown Inn is situated just off the A590 in Newton-in-Cartmel which has recently been bypassed by a newly constructed road thus creating a new hidden place! Pat and David have been the proprietors since the summer of 2008, Pat has been in the hospitality industry for a while now but this property is their first together. The exterior gives off a warm and welcoming vibe, with large, colourful planters and informative notice boards. The interior only enhances this impression with a nice solid bar and stone flooring.

The bar is well stocked; there are always at least two real ales on draft, regulars are Black Sheep and Cumberland Ale. David is your excellent chef and food is served between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm from Sunday to Saturday and between 12 pm and 3 pm on Saturdays and between 12 pm and 2 pm on Sundays. The restaurant also serves food during lunchtimes throughout the summer months but not during winter.

The inn provides accommodation as well; there are six well appointed en-suite rooms available for hire, in a mixture of sizes, and the tariff includes a hearty English breakfast! If you're lucky you will catch the variety of live entertainment on offer during the summer on Friday evenings!
