Situated in the heart of Ulverston, The Kings head Hotel offers hospitality, ale and food second to none. Its olde worlde interior supports its architecture as an outstanding grade 2 listed building. At its rear it hides an enchanting beer garden backed by ivy-covered original stone walling, bursting with flowers in the summer months, a haven in which to enjoy the tranquillity of the Lake District.

Four gorgeous rooms are available to book, three twins and one double with separate power shower bathrooms nearby, and a hearty country breakfast available in the morning.

The Kings Head also offers a locally sourced menu catering for both adults and children, ranging from soup and sandwiches fresh from the local bakery to delectable Antipasti platters comprising a range of continental meats, melon, olives, feta, salad and bread, or a generous helping of homemade cottage pie. Food is served 12-2pm and 4-8pm weekdays and 12-7pm weekends in summer months, and from 4-8pm weekdays and 12-7pm weekends in the winter.

Landlord Thia Rawlinson who has put this stunning hotel back on the map prides herself on offering a choice of 4 real ales such as Jennings Lakeland Bitter, Cock-a-hoop and Cumberland Ale, with yet more rotating during the summer when the Kings Head is open all day every day. In winter visitors are welcomed from 4pm on Mon/Tues/Wed and all day Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun.
