The Lakes Hotel is a small family run hotel in the centre of Windermere, just a stones throw away from the rail and bus stations.

Occupying a handsome, mid-Victorian building, that was formally a bank, when built in 1860, the property is situated in a prime location. Close to the shops and a good variety of restaurants, The Lakes Hotel is the perfect base to explore this wonderful village in the Lake District.

Andrew and Marie Dobson offer 10 ensuite bedrooms, in a variety of sizes- double, twin and family rooms, with all rooms being decorated and furnished to a good standard.

The couple also own Lakes Supertours, which operates from the hotel and provides spectacular and informative Lake District tours including scenic and cultural attractions. Luxury high-topped mini-coaches, with ample legroom are on offer and each coach is driven by friendly, well-informed driver/guides. Itineries include the complete Beatrix Potter's Lakeland and Wordsworth and by coach and boat to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Ullswater. There are plenty of special offers available and all tours start from the hotel forecourt.
