Located at the top of High Street in a lovely, traditional setting lies the superb restaurant Wicked Windermere. Offering elegant style and tremendous food, as well as a friendly but efficient and welcoming atmosphere, the staff here are keen to make your visit a memorable one.

Having been open for the last 2 years, Wicked Windermere is owned and personally run by Brian Wisdom. This business is certainly one to add to your list of favourites and has been recommended by people visiting, far and wide. The food on offer has also had `rave' reviews in the local and national papers, magazines and cook books- meaning that upon your visit, you will be able to experience something truly special.

The atmosphere throughout this business is divine. The extremely stylish and beautifully clean-cut décor, combined with the traditional and historic façade, is fabulously inviting, creating a warm environment, which can be enjoyed by all. As well as this, the reputation for superb quality, traditional Cumbrian cuisine and the value that is on offer, really does make this place `wicked'.

The menu available encompasses much local produce and the professional Chefs, which Brian employs, expertly transform traditional recipes in to dishes of mouth-watering works of art. There are several menus throughout the day, including the early bird menu and à la carte menu. Dishes such as smooth chicken liver parfait with home made pickles and fruit chutney; pan fried fillet of salmon topped with a herb crust and grilled chicken breast with a creamy leek sauce can be seen on the early bird menu; whilst king prawns cooked in tomato, cream and garlic sauce, slow braised lamb shank served on a smooth mint mashed potato, pan fried fillet steak and marinated grilled chicken kebab can be seen on the a la carte menu. There is also a tantalising dessert menu and an equally impressive wine list.

Brian previous to running this superb restaurant was a personal butler for 22 years on Princess cruises. Having rubbed shoulders with the stars, he is always happy to share his stories and has many fine photos displayed around the restaurant.

Open daily from 12-2pm and 6-9pm, with Sundays being open from 12-8pm, where better place is there to spend a lunchtime break or a relaxing diner? Wicked Windermere's will make your day.
