Stouphill Gate is located in a glorious setting with spectacular views and offers a wonderful choice of bed and breakfast as well as self-catering accommodation in a traditional Cumbrian farmhouse that takes its name from nearby Stoup Hill.

Gillian and Martin Wainhouse are the owners here and provide lovely B&B rooms in a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views of the country. They provide the perfect getaway to unwind and act as an ideal base for discovering the many scenic and historic delights of the surrounding area.

Gillian is a superb cook and caters to her guests, providing a hearty and splendid breakfast for all who visit. She also produces delightful homemade jams and chutney, which are made in small batches on the farmhouse Aga. All these jams and preserves are served at breakfast, however they can also be purchased from the property itself.

There are two bed and breakfast rooms, one of which is fully wheelchair accessible, these have very comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms. There is an adjacent cottage, suitable for larger groups and this offers old world charm, character and everything that you may need for a memorable and relaxing self-catering holiday home for up to 5 guests. There is a separate laundry room for use by guests.
