Renowned for its contemporary food, Junipers Restaurant & Café Bar is a popular haunt, located in the centre of Cockermouth. Having been refurbished in 2004, the interior is clean cut and contemporary, with contrasting colours being used throughout, in order to give an eye-catching and vibrant atmosphere.

Debbie and Lee have been at Junipers for the last 6 years and their previous experience in the restaurant industry has enabled them to produce a top-notch business here. Chef Lee has been cooking for 30 years and creates wonderful dishes of home roast ham on buttered cabbage, seared smoked salmon and beef bourguignonne. They also specialise in tapas, inspired from Spain, 15 dishes in total all accompanied by a large selection of wines imported from around the world.

Set over two floors, the café/bar on the ground floor is used at lunchtimes for light bites, sandwiches etc and in the evenings for tapas and drinks. Upstairs the spacious 50 seat restaurant serves an array of dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Everything is cooked by the chef/owner Lee and supervised by Debbie in front of house, thus ensuring the quality and consistency that junipers is well known for.
