Located on the fringes of the Lake District is the wonderful family-run caravan park Tanglewood. A quiet and friendly campsite, ideal for those who wish to experience a relaxing, laid back and memorable holiday, surrounded by picturesque views and greenery await visitors here. Set just a mile inland from the pleasant small port and seaside resort of Silloth-On-Solway, this caravan site is surrounded by natural beauty of the countryside, offering something for everyone. For those wishing to experience a relaxing holiday or for those who enjoy long hikes or cycling.

Having been established for over 30 years, Mike and Jen Bowman, along with their parents Elaine and Norman pride themselves on the quality service that they provide. They currently house 58 static caravans on site, 9 of which are for hire. They also have 21 pitches for touring caravans, all with electric hook-ups and water/drainage facilities. There are 10 pitches for tents for all the campers out there, with plenty of wash facilities, including showers and toilets, with underfloor heating, as well as a fully equipped laundry service, giving you a home from home experience.

Tanglewood's large modern holiday homes are 32 feet x 12 feet and are planned for spacial living, fully equipped for premium comfort. The bedrooms are of a good size and house all mod cons you would expect to find in a self-catering property- gas fire, cooker, microwave oven, fridge and colour TV but to name a few. There is also a parking space next to each plot, with convenience in mind.

The main coach house has been converted into a licensed lounge bar, which is open to all park clients and the public daily from 8pm and from lunchtime on Saturdays and Sundays. There is also a children's games room adjoining the bar and the site has a play area with swings and a sandpit, ensuring that this site is perfect for families.

The tariff is reasonable, ranging from £250 per week for 2 people, varying from time of year and how many people will be sharing. Tanglewood is open all year round, excluding the month of February and is one of the best of its kind. Approved by many Associations, including the British Tourist Authority, this business is excellent.
