Cockermouth is a beautiful Georgian market town on the edge of the Lake District and has plenty to offer. It is here that visitors will be delighted to find The Rook Guest House.

This charming early 18th century property with exposed beams and stonework oozes character and provides comfortable, high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation close to the Castle. There are three stylish en-suite bedrooms, each with TV and beverage tray. Friendly owner, Vicky Waters, has been here for more than 10 years, and is always on hand to see that her guests are enjoying their stay. Children are welcome, (dogs are also welcome by prior arrangement) and Vicky makes sure that the day starts with a hearty breakfast for everyone. Vicky will also provide guests with a tasty packed lunch if required. Cockermouth has a wealth of history to discover and Rook Guest house is an ideal base for tourists, walkers and cyclists, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance.
