Country roads lead from the A591 and A595 to the quiet village of Snittlegarth, where friendly couple, Roddy and Ros Green provide superior self-catering accommodation in two luxurious pine lodges. Situated in an isolated and picturesque location Snittlegarth Lodges offer the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting. The popular lodges were created and opened in January 2007 and have already won many repeat guests. Open all year round, they have superbly appointed interiors that contain everything needed for a relaxing, come-as-you-please holiday. Each lodge sleeps up to four guests, and short breaks are available at certain times of the year. The woodland setting is home to abundant wildlife, including red squirrels, and this whole area, at the top end of the Lake District national Park, is great walking country and offers easy access to most of the Western Lakes, major towns and beyond. The attractions hereabouts are many and varied: rambling and bird watching around Bassenthwaite Lake, climbing on Skiddaw, spectacular scenery and Trotters World of Animals, providing a great day out for all the family. |
