Situated in the leisurely peaceful town of Silloth, the popular Silloth Café offers great food and unbeatable hospitality to anyone exploring this charming old port and seaside resort. In this substantial building on a corner site, attentive owner Alison Henderson and her niece Amanda offer a warm and friendly welcome to all who pass through the door.Amanda offers a good selection of snacks and meals and also prepares a range of special dietary dishes such as gluten free. Traditional fish & chips head the menu, and other choices run from filled rolls to Cumberland sausage, haggis and home-made pies and patties - something for everyone and the majority of the produce is sourced locally. A hearty roast dinner is added to the menu on Sunday which has proved to be a real success. If you are looking for a something to satisfy a sweet tooth the cakes are a real treat! Children are made to feel very welcome and there's a special junior menu with high chairs available on request.This delightful café is open from 11.30am to 2pm for lunches and 4.30 to 8pm for evening meals. Closed Wednesday. Cash and cheque only. |
