The Steam Packet is a bright, welcoming inn looking out from Kingswear to
Dartmouth harbour and the railway that runs to
Paignton and beyond. Run in fine style by
experienced host Nessie Wilson, the inn is open
all day for drinks, served in the warm, inviting bar with real fires and lots of local
pictures and photographs. The Steam Packet is a
great place for a meal, whether it's a lunchtime baguette, burger, bangers & mash or
battered cod or an evening curry, lasagne, salmon
with parsley sauce, a succulent steak or a
seasonal crab platter. Food is served from 12 to 3
and 6.30 to 9.30 (Sunday roasts 12 to 4; no food Sunday evening or Tuesday).
