In the attractive village of Letheringsett is a fully functional water powered Flour Mill generally accepted to be the only producing one in Norfolk. You are invited to visit this outstanding part of working Norfolk history. The Norfolk red brick Mill was built in 1802 on a Doomsday site. Until 1982 when restoration work was started, the Mill was slowly falling into disrepair The miller and his staff would like to welcome you to see their skills of making flour using this traditional method on their demonstration days when the miller will give a running commentary. If however you would prefer to visit the mill when standing idle you are more than welcome.Staff are always on hand and ready to answer any of your questions - they are proud to share their interest and knowledge. Before you leave perhaps you would like to purchase some of the flour you have seen being made during your visit or browse in the Gift Shop. The Ducks outside are always hungry! |
