Located at the edge of Attleborough between Thetford and Norwich, just off the main A11 Attleborough roundabout sits the White Lodge. This magnificent 14th century thatched building simply oozes character and quality service acting as a function room, campsite and play area but is best known for being one of the area's best pubs.

Carol Stokes and Terry Martin have much experience in the trade and offer fantastic service to all that come here. They welcome families and children, individuals, couples, tourists, walkers, cyclists, sporting groups and societies from all walks of life, making it an ideal stop off for any break in the beautiful countryside of Norfolk. The inn also hosts `biker meet nights' on a Wednesday evening with special deals for all sorts of motor bike rides. They are just minutes from many local attractions including Wymondham Abbey, Thetford Forest, Banham Zoo and Snetterton Racetrack.

The pub itself gives a mature feel yet relaxed feel, retaining many original features including oak beams and real wood fireplaces. It serves a great selection of light snacks and bar meals, main meals, pizzas, burgers, Sunday lunches and a healthy choice of real ales all in a comfortably climate controlled environment. Favourites include the homemade chicken parfait, pan fried salmon with a creamy pesto dressing, the Attleborough bangers and mash and the house pizza. Though spacious inside, there is room for more to dine outside on the sun terrace, adorned with a variety of summer blooms. There is also a large garden and play area for children. A pets corner is in the stages of being formed.

Separate from the pub bistro is a function room that is available to hire for any occasion and has proved a popular place for weddings, christenings, birthdays and engagement parties.

For those visitors who love the area or need a convenient spot to pitch for the night before heading off to watch the racing the White Lodge also has three quarters of an acre in which you can pitch your tents and park your camper vans for the night with easy access to all pub facilities, perfect for those looking for a gentler camping experience. The White Lodge is open from 11am-11pm seven days a week and serves food from 11am-9pm daily and 12 - 8pm on Sunday.
