Situated on the A120 between Marks Tey and Braintree, 6 miles from the historic walled town of Colchester is the Kings Arms, where John Murrey looks after the real ale and his partner Chris takes care of the country appetites.

The pub is open from 12-8pm Mon-Sat serving a variety of home cooked pub favourites including steak and ale pie; chicken, bacon and leek pie; steak and kidney pudding; fish pie, rabbit stew and other game dishes. There is a great children's menu and the option to dine outside in the large family beer garden in the warmer weather or the chance to sit in front of a roaring log fire in colder months.

John and Chris also now offer a large double/family room sleeping up to four if needed. It has great en suite facilities with its own shower, tv/freeview and tea and coffee making facilities. A great country pub the Kings Arms also provides entertainment with karaoke on the last Friday of every month and quiz night on Thursdays.
