For the past 6 years, local couple David Flide and Emma-Kate Morey have been running The Basement Café. Situated on the quay and in the heart of Padstow, the establishment is very popular with Tourists and Locals alike and has won awards for its Coffee.

The Basement Café offers a traditional Café experience with Teas, Coffees, Cream Teas and Cakes and also specializes in top quality locally sourced produce which is weighted heavily towards Fish but the menu is broad so all tastes and budgets are catered for. The menus change weekly and even sometimes daily so you will never get bored of the food.

David is the chef and food is served from 9am (breakfast) right through Lunch till late afternoon. The menu Changes slightly in the evenings to a relaxed formal dining experience aimed at a level that sits neatly between `pub grub' and `Restaurant' style food.

It is highly recommended to book either by phone or via their website. It is important to note at the time of printing the business is CLOSED on Sunday evenings for food.

The business is closed from 5th Jan till Valentines Day and then from then on open everyday. Please phone or visit the website for up to date opening times.
