Business is now booming at The Darlington Inn, since committed tenants Jo and Mick Weaver took over in November 2008.

Situated in the heart of Camelford, adjacent to the main A39, it has plenty of history behind it. The inn became an important posting house and inn during the 16th century with the King's messengers, as well as stagecoach travellers resting here. First known as The Darlington Arms in the early 18th century when ownership passed to the Earl of Darlington, it has played its part in the political process in the village and as well as being a place for parties on each side to meet, drink and feast, it is still from the inn's balcony that election results are announced.

Today guests will find an abundance of hospitality going hand in hand with well-kept ale, superb food and quality accommodation. Given the prestigious Cask Marque grading, the Darlington offers two quality real ales, Tinners and Proper Job.

Booking is advised for the quality cuisine cooked by Jo, and sample dishes include a juicy rump steak served with onion rings and mushrooms and a succulent salmon in lemon and lime dressing. It's no surprise locals as well as tourists frequent this little darling!
