Located in the heart of Bodmin, The Barley Sheaf is an ideal base for business or holiday, affording easy access to the picturesque villages, seaside resorts and major towns in this part of Cornwall. Visitors to this popular Inn which is open all day, everyday, can be assured of a warm welcome by friendly hosts Jim and Sally. Their experienced chef Tom, uses local produce whenever possible in his dishes to create a wide range of satisfying meals such as Cajun Chicken Fajitas, Cottage Pie and Stuffed Peppers with mushroom risotto as a vegetarian option. Lighter meals include tasty Jacket Potatoes, Toasties and freshly prepared sandwiches. Booking is advantageous on Sundays.

Up to three real ales are available on tap at the well stocked bar with Tribute being the regular. The Inn hosts live entertainment regularly and quiz nights on Tuesdays from 9pm.

There are nine comfortable rooms available on room only or a B&B basis, three en-suite on the ground floor with the other six upstairs.

A large function room seating 120 is available to hire and the pub has a large beer garden/patio for those warmer days.
