Occupying one of the prime sites in Cornwall, The Galleon Inn, overlooking Fowey harbour is a spacious and wonderfully decorated village pub, with adjacent accommodation, suitable for couples and families. Boasting a wide range of bar food and real ales, the Galleon Inn is recommended far and wide by locals and visitors, who enjoy the idyllic views of the ever changing estuary, whilst enjoying the numerous forms of entertainment that the free house has to offer.

The main bar area has rustic exposed brickwork, complimented by smooth, wooden beams and tasteful furniture, whilst the dining space is light and airy, topped by a glass roof and large doors leading on to a patio area, overlooking the harbour. This is the perfect setting during warm summer days and evenings as the surrounding views are absolutely stunning.

Locals Lee and Karen have been at the helm of the Galleon for the past couple of years but worked here previously for some time before taking over the reins. The free house has been coming on in leaps and bounds and the premises is now often described as the best place to be in order to enjoy Fowey. The premises itself can offer a good range of real ales such as Sharp's Cornish and Doom Bar as well as 2 other rotating guest ales and the food is also equally lovely and all prepared freshly on the premises, including the speciality fish, which is bought from local fisheries in Plymouth. Exceptional dishes such as stilton and vegetable crumble, chef's special curry of the day, Cajun chicken steak and a selection of burgers and salads are available to purchase at a very reasonable price.

The accommodation has a separate entrance to the main pub and features 2 family rooms and 5 doubles, with 2 overlooking the Fowey River. It has been given a 4 star rating and is finished to a very high standard. All rooms have air conditioning and kingsize beds, including all the other facilities you would expect to find in a 4 star accommodation. The prices vary from £35-£40 per person, per night and includes a top-notch breakfast feast.

The galleon Inn is open every day and food is served from 12-2.30 and 6-9pm and on Sundays from 12-2.30 and 6-8.30pm, where a traditional Sunday lunch is served.
