Situated in the picturesque village of St Germans is where you will be glad to find The Eliot Arms, a welcoming hostelry with quality restaurant serving freshly cooked food. The welcoming tenants with over 10 years experience in the trade, have created a pleasant ambience with the help of their team, and ensure an enjoyable visit will be had by all.

With the Eden project a mere 30 minutes away and other well known gardens close by, the accommodation at The Eliot Arms offers a great base to tour the Western Peninsula, Dartmoor and South Cornwall. The 7 en-suite bedrooms, each comfortably furnished, have colour televisions and beverage tray and a hearty breakfast is also included in the tariff. St Germans can also provide for those looking for something a little more active. Sea angling is very popular here with bass, wrasse, pollock or mackerel being readily caught from the rocks. Keen bird watchers may see buzzards circling overhead or cormorants fishing, and the really lucky ones could even catch a glimpse of a basking shark or a dolphin out in the bay.

A delightful olde worlde interior with wooden beams set the scene, and with the attentive staff and tasty food, a meal here is not to be missed. The ever changing à la carte menu offers a wide selection of traditional treats such as: breaded whitebait, grilled local goats cheese and mushrooms with a stilton sauce for starters and fillet steak, pie of the day and Tribute beer battered cod for mains. Vegetarians are also catered for and can expect to see dishes such as vegetable curry, roasted peppers and creamy coriander vegetables. As well as preparing the à la carte menu, the 3 excellent chefs also create delicious bar meals and these are available lunchtime and evening every day using fresh local produce. The bar presents a varied selection of beverages to compliment your meal including 3 real ales with Tribute being the regular.

Open all day everyday, high tea is served from 4pm - 6pm (cream teas and sandwiches) dinner from 6pm - 9.30pm and supper from 9.30pm - 11pm. It is advisable to book to avoid disappointment, especially for large parties. There is a large off road car park for visitors.
