At The National Whitewater Centre we have been providing whitewater rafting for 25 years and the River Tryweryn is the best year-round whitewater facility in the UK. The Tryweryn is a steep, rocky mountain river with fast flowing rapids that offer an exhilarating and adrenalin fuelled trip. Because the Tryweryn is dam controlled we often have water when other rivers are dry!

Don't worry if you don't fancy adventure on the river: there are extensive riverside trails around the centre and picnic areas dotted around the site which give you the opportunity to take in the splendour of the surroundings. We are situated in the Snowdonia National Park and the breathtaking scenery offers a fantastic retreat, not only for the water sports enthusiast, but for everyone.

The National Whitewater Centre is centrally located in North Wales giving easy access to the attractions of Snowdonia and the coast. The nearby town of Bala caters for tourists all year round. We can be reached easily from all major towns and cities. The area has an excellent and diverse range of accommodation, places to eat and attractions to suit all tastes.
