Revells Bistro & Restaurant occupies a beautifully restored Art Deco cinema which originally opened in 1938. Craig and Rhian Humphreys took over here in 1991 and have firmly established Revells as one of the best places in the area to enjoy good food and good company. The restaurant has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with lots of antique furniture and vintage photographs of old Welshpool around the walls. At lunchtimes (from noon until 3pm) the menu offers an excellent choice that includes home-made lasagne, quiche and soup, as well as a wide selection of pasta dishes, char-grilled steaks, roasts, vegetarian options, paninis, baguettes and filled croissants. At other times, light snacks, freshly baked cakes and speciality coffees are all available. The evening menu, served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, varies but includes quality dishes such as Welsh rack of lamb, pan seared Queen Scallops and home-made Gnocchi. Children are welcome at Revells (there are even toys for them to play with), and there are newspapers for the adults.

Every other weekend Revells hosts either a food themed evening - Italian, Spanish, French and Fresh Fish, for example - or live music by groups from around the world.
