Twenty-five years of serving the local community has established an unbeatable reputation for quality, service and value for money at Penbanc Fabrics. The number of repeat visitors to Annie Washbrook's unique enterprise on the A487 Fishguard-Cardigan road is testimony to the success of this friendly family-run business, and the words has spread to the many holidaymakers who pass this way to discover the scenic and historic attractions of the coast and countryside. The place itself is a real delight: behind a farmhouse in a beautiful rural setting old farm buildings have been converted to house four large interconnecting rooms. To pass beyond the creeper-framed entrance is to enter an Aladdin's Cave of fabrics, an amazing choice that covers cotton, silk, denim, viscose, patchwork, bridal material, curtain fabrics and much more, covering all the brands you can think of and many more you can't, to take away or to have made up into curtains, chair covers or other soft furnishings. Six girls are kept busy working on the orders, and Annie can put customers in touch with designers for special orders. If you’re looking for a fabric, any fabric, Annie is pretty sure you’ll find it in this quaint, cosy, friendly place, which is open from 10am to 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
