Welsh Jewellers since 1971

On the main square of Tregaron, Rhiannon Jewellery offers the widest choice of Welsh and Celtic jewellery and craftware in the world. Rhiannon Evans established the craft shop and gallery in 1971 in this charming early Victorian building, where many original features add to the pleasure of browsing and buying in this unique place. Rhiannon added Celtic jewellery in 1976, and the products of Rhiannon Welsh Gold and Rhiannon Celtic Jewellery have gained a reputation that has spread round the world. Rhiannon does all the designing and is responsible for most of the production, making everything on site by hand, with no imported or machine-made jewellery. Visitors can watch Rhiannon and her team of in-house trained, Welsh speaking goldsmiths at work on pendants, brooches, earrings, cufflinks, lovespoons and other pieces in a dedicated display workshop that has changed little since 1976.

The centre also showcases the work of some of Wales' best designer-makers. These vary from Brian Eburah, a fellow jeweller who specialises in combining precious metals with vibrant Titanium and Niobium, to Simant Bostock, a sculptor who uses Crystacast and Cold-Cast Bronze Resins to create fascinating figurines.

In what is one of the premier craft outlets in the whole of Wales, the displays in the light, spacious rooms include bronzes, ceramics, glassware, decanters, paperweights, lovespoons, textiles, woodwork, fruit bowls, toys and games, chess sets, piggy banks, red dragons, Welsh teddies, sheepskin rugs, books, CDs and DVDs of Welsh music….and much more. Other gift ideas include single malts and cream liqueur from Welsh Whisky and an amazing range of honey products: elderflower, fudge, mustard, ginger in honey, walnuts in honey, mead, honeyed marmalade. There's also a nice little tea room on the premises.

Rhiannon Jewellery, which is a truely traditional Welsh family company, is open from 10 to 5 Monday to Saturday, also on Sunday in July, August and December.
