Enjoying stunning views over the beautiful Towy Valley, The Royal Oak Inn was built in 1850 as a Hunting Lodge and it still retains many of the original features. Full of charm and character, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere all year round. The bar features a quarry-tiled floor and large stone open fire. Owners, Christopher & Rachel, take great pride in the selection and quality of the real ales and cask ciders. The Royal Oak has featured in the Good Beer Guide for the past 22 years. During the summer months, you'll find up to 6 different brews on tap, as well as and an extensive range of whiskeys.A wide selection of locally sourced meals are available from the dining menu with the house steaks being a speciality. The dining room can seat up to 40 guests and the huge wood burner set in another stone fireplace completes the homely atmosphere. The bar menu also offers great value food and children's meals. All meals are served every day from noon until 2pm, and from 6.30pm to 9.30pm (7pm to 9.30pm on Sunday). The cosy accommodation comprises of 1 en suite family room, 1 en suite double and 1 en suite twin all with stunning views over the Towy Valley. There are also 2 singles with a shared bathroom and Rachel cooks a full breakfast from locally sourced food every morning to overnight guests. |
