Recently championed by Gary Rhodes - Hooton's Homegrown has a farm shop, butchery and café overlooking the Snowdonia Mountains. The Hooton family has farmed at Gwydryn Hir, Brynsiencyn since 1964. Today, with two of their sons, Andrew and James, Michael and Rosalind provide their customers with delicious food straight from the farm. They rear outdoor pork, lamb, Welsh Black cattle, free-range chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. They also rear turkeys and geese for Christmas. They grow a wide variety of fruit and vegetables all for sale in the farm shop. They also have Pick Your Own in season. Their chefs bake an array of cakes, savouries and frozen ready meals. The café serves delicious homemade meals (using their own home grown ingredients) and Fairtrade tea and coffee.

The shop also stocks local bespoke delicacies suitable for gifts. They also have a farm shop in Fron Goch Garden Centre, Llanfaglan, Caernarfon.
